Happy Release Day to “Don’t You Trust Me?“!
Today marks the public debut of Patrice Kindl’s Young Adult Thriller Don’t You Trust Me?, about a 15-year-old con-artist who switches identities with a lookalike in order to pull off a scam and winds up among New York’s elite. Think The Parent Trap, but much more deviously delicious. Publisher’s Weekly reviewed this back in May and it sounds to-die-for. Bookish also listed it among the hot upcoming releases in its Summer Preview.
I’ve had the great pleasure of getting to know the narrator for this title, Bailey Carr, and that has made me even more eager to get my
hands ears on this audiobook. Carr previously narrated Morgan Matson’s The Unexpected Everything and Biana Scardoni’s Inception, two other titles that have now made their way onto my radar.
I’m not usually someone who “waits by the phone” for anyone or anything, books included (with the obvious exception being the ever-elusive Winds of Winter). But I’ve been waiting on today for a few weeks and I’m planning on starting Don’t You Trust Me? immediately, so stay tuned for a full review later this week.
For now, here’s a clip, blurb, and Bailey Carr’s bio (hoping for an exclusive one day)! Oh, and a giveaway that’s part of release celebrations being hosted by this blog’s alter ego, Audiobookworm Promotions.

Don’t you trust me? I mean, look at me. Blond, blue eyed, the very image of innocence. Pretty enough, if you care about that kind of thing. I don’t. But would a normal person switch identities with some wet mess of a girl at the airport just to get her to stop bawling about being separated from her loser boyfriend and sent to live with some distant relatives? Nope, she wouldn’t. Yet I did. I’m not as normal as you think. And you’ll just have to trust me.
